Ut's worth stating that you plagerized the player sprite. the OP is a reddit poster. https://www.reddit.com/r/PixelArt/comments/1c83wtq/attack/

the op is called 'BirdiBirdson'

We created the game 1.5 years ago for the jam, the sprite has been available on GitHub alongside the rest of the open source code at that time - the reddit post is 8 months old and the redditor pretends not knowing anything about Merlin... Guess who is plagiarizing who....

Then just check my earlier posting of this character :)

Well now I look like a fool... I honestly thought our art was original until I saw this comment on itch today, which linked to your reddit post dating a few months after our game was published. Since we had everything open sourced, I assumed that the art had been copied in other areas - but clearly it seems the other way around... :(

I'll work with the artist to change it

Controller support yes! But if it's analog stick on a platformer... I'll just use the keyboard anyway. It looks amazing and I would love to check it out at some point when the screen shake is optional. Sorry if this sounds harsh, really it does look great and I do want to play but the screen shake gives me an instant headache. Following you for sure!

oh man I really wish I had time to add that in! it was towards the top of my "nice to have" and I didn't have time to implement it. I'll definitely add that in as a setting and publish an updated version after the scoring period is over. Thanks for trying!

Awesome, I know the feeling, so many things to get right in a hurry. I'll be looking forward to it!

If you don't have plans for the d-pad would you also consider adding those as alternate inputs? I'd be super stoked to play this with that as an option

Oh absolutely! That's such an easy thing to add, I don't know why I didn't think of it

Waiting for the voting period to end to upload 15 minutes worth of code changes. Such is jamming.

Wow this is really really polished!!

I really love all the animation, and although I'm not good enough to get very far (even on easy), the whole experience feels really smooth!

Thanks so much! I wish we had more time to make it easier on the EASY setting, but hopefully you had some fun while playing it for a bit!
