I love the game, but I found a glitch on level two, when I should have died the game froze.

Thanks for playing! I would love to fix this bug, are you able to reproduce it by any chance?

No it only happened once. But it did happen on my phone so it could be on my end.

Nah, happen to me to. I attacked that warrior, who can dodge, i attacked, he attacked and dodged, then he came back, attacked again, and my game froze. P.S. Wdym i played this game half-hour? It's 11pm already? Why is it in my collection?!

UPD: (obv i died in moment my game crashed) OMG THIS GAME HAS AUTO SAVE THANKS

That was a life saver for me too. I've finished the game since I encountered the glitch though.

lol I love it :D Unlike most gamejam games, i actually finished this one :D I think you could actually turn this into a real game. Maybe a mobile game? With microtransaction everywhere and stuff.

It works pretty well for mobile, I made the buttons fairly big for that purpose and have actually been able to complete the game on my phone. Not sure about turning this into a real game because the gameplay loop feels quite repetitive though, but will need to think about it!

Thanks so much for playing, so glad you enjoyed it!

Extremely well put together entry. I would love to see you ship this with some more polish - some extra variation on the hit SFX would go well for example, same for VFX, but those aren't blockers. Keyboard controls would also go well. Music worked, palette was well chosen, sfx worked, that was all good. The game is on theme, but I wonder if there was other ways of adding "an end is a new beginning" into the game beyond what's here. Congrats! I really enjoyed this gem.

Those are awesome suggestions! I've actually started to incorporate a lot of them in a post-jam build! I'm just waiting for the rating period to end before updating it. As far as working around the theme better, I originally wanted to make the game a bit more like rogue legacy, with some traits that get passed along to your descendants. That got cut as I needed to keep the scope minimal to fit the timeline, but I'm still thinking about how to do something similar to make it more fun... Ideas are welcome!

Loved your game! The progression system kept me playing through to the end. Cute art, fun sfx and music, and overall great job! I'd suggest making a mobile game out of it! Additional content and a tiny bit more polish and I think you could make some money from it if you wanted. Excellent work!

Thanks for the comment! I will definitely make a polished version of this in the next few weeks, will probably release it on various platforms as well.

This game is definitely my favorite game i've played in the jam. I literally had to force myself off it to go to bed

That's awesome :) thanks for playing!

Cute game! I finished it and enjoyed it the entire time. :) Really impressive backgrounds. I was really bad at blocking until I figured out the rhythm of it lol. Well done.

haha yeah it does take some timing to get right, glad you enjoyed it and was able to finish the game!
